Job Description
Embark on a rewarding journey as a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant, specializing in Physical Therapy Assistant care, where your hands-on expertise will illuminate patients’ recovery and return to daily life. In Fredericksburg, Virginia, you’ll blend compassionate patient care with the thrill of exploring new communities, all while shaping outcomes that matter. Imagine guiding clients through mobility restoration, functional independence, and meaningful participation in everyday activities—each session a step toward confidence and independence. And beyond the clinic, you’ll discover the beauty of Virginia—from the winding Rappahannock River to lush vineyards and scenic countryside—that makes every assignment feel like an enriching escape.
Location Benefits: Fredericksburg is a charming hub where history meets modern life, offering a welcoming community and easy access to nature, dining, and cultural happenings. You’ll enjoy Kentucky blue skies and midsummer sunsets just a short drive from the city buzz of Washington, DC, yet with the slower pace that supports focused patient care. This role also opens opportunities to work in diverse locations across the United States, delivering you a breadth of clinical experiences—from outpatient orthopedic clinics and inpatient rehab units to skilled nursing facilities. As you travel, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of patient populations, treatment modalities, and interdisciplinary teams, all while maintaining a steady professional rhythm with a guaranteed 35 hours per week. Your weekly pay ranges from $1,397 to $1,438, reflecting the value of your specialized skills and dedication. You’ll have the chance to extend contracts, revisit locations you love, or explore new ones, with a supportive framework that makes travel manageable and fulfilling.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a PTA in travel assignments, you’ll collaborate under PT supervision to implement and adjust individualized treatment plans, lead therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and functional mobility activities, and therapeutic modalities designed to restore strength and independence. You’ll document progress, communicate patient responses, and contribute to goal setting that aligns with each person’s daily life and long-term ambitions. Your role emphasizes hands-on intervention, patient education, and discharge planning, with opportunities to supervise and mentor aides as you grow. This position offers more than hands-on care: you’ll benefit from competitive compensation, including a sign-on bonus in some assignments, housing assistance to ease relocation, and the potential for contract extensions that let you deepen your specialty skills and build lasting professional relationships. A robust support network is there for you around the clock—24/7 assistance from a dedicated travel support team ensures you’re never navigating a new environment alone. You’ll be empowered to pursue continuing education, attend clinical workshops, and engage with experienced clinicians who champion your growth within the physical therapy specialty. The Start Date is 11/17/2025, with a duration of several weeks, and you’ll know your assignments well in advance so you can plan self-care, travel, and personal goals. You’ll operate in a system that respects your expertise, values your voice in the care plan, and provides the resources needed to deliver outstanding outcomes.
Company Values: Our organization is committed to empowering every PTA to advance professionally while maintaining a warm, supportive work environment. We prioritize open communication, collaborative care, and opportunities to take on leadership roles within multidisciplinary teams. Whether you’re rotating through clinics in Fredericksburg or visiting new states, you’ll find a culture that recognizes your contributions, provides mentorship, and supports your pursuit of specialty certifications and advanced practice skills. We believe in sustainable work-life balance, transparent performance feedback, and a shared mission to improve mobility, function, and quality of life for every patient you serve.
Call to Action: If you’re ready to broaden your impact, apply now to join a company that values your care, expertise, and professional development. This is your invitation to combine meaningful travel with meaningful outcomes, delivering high-quality physical therapy services to diverse populations across the country. Take the next step in your PTA career and experience a journey that challenges you, supports you, and celebrates your success. Note: Hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
