Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Tax Specialist with a robust background in retail to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting multiple brands within a portfolio. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with tax regulations, strategic planning, and optimizing tax positions across Ad Populum brands.

Responsibilities:

• Lead tax compliance and reporting efforts for multiple brands, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams across brands to gather necessary data for tax calculations and compliance.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and enhance operational efficiencies within the tax function.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their implications for the company’s operations and compliance strategies.
• Provide expert guidance and training to finance and accounting teams on tax regulations, policies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in tax compliance and analysis, specifically within the consumer products or retail sector.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting multiple brands within a portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

The hiring range for this position will be $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year.
