Capstone Financial Advisors has openings for S easonal Tax Preparers and Seasonal Tax Reviewers for the upcoming tax season, both with 3+ years of relevant tax compliance experience

The Opportunity

We are seeking Seasonal Tax Preparers and Seasonal Tax Reviewers to join our seasonal tax team for the upcoming 2026 tax season (2025 tax year).

Key Responsibilities Seasonal Tax Preparer

• Prepare complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships
• Coordinate with Capstone’s Wealth Advisors to gather and organize client information and tax documents.
• Calculate estimated tax payments.
• Interact effectively with Wealth Advisors, Financial Planners, and Client Service Specialists

Key Responsibilities Seasonal Tax Reviewer

• Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals; trust & business returns a plus
• Ensure that each tax return is accurately prepared.
• Conduct tax research and provide guidance to tax preparers, when needed.
• Provide possible tax savings opportunities to Wealth Advisors.
• Review estimated tax payment calculations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant tax compliance experience
• CPA or EA designation preferred
• Lacerte and SurePrep experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Adaptability in a paperless environment
• Experience with high-net-worth clients a plus
• Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills

Work Schedule & Location:

Available to work from February through mid-April, with standard 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday and occasional weekend hours as needed. Depending upon your experience, this role can be performed hybrid or in-person at our Downers Grove office, or fully remote if you're located out of state.
