Position Summary

RESCO is seeking a Plant Manager based in Del Rio, Texas , to lead daily operations across the border at our Acuña, Mexico facility. This role is responsible for all production-related activities—including engineering, planning, materials, warehouse, and direct labor—ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality, defect-free products. The Plant Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership in a bi-cultural maquiladora environment, with full accountability for safety, quality, cost, and people performance .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all production and support activities.
• Build and develop a strong supervisory and support team.
• Ensure staffing meets production demands with trained direct labor.
• Direct engineering and planning teams for clear work instructions and accurate schedules.
• Oversee warehouse operations to support production effectively.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Manage proper use and maintenance of production equipment.
• Partner with Sales, Estimating, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and other departments.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as senior site representative for customer interactions, audits, and reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Production Management, or related field.
• 10+ years in a maquiladora or similar manufacturing operation, including 5+ years in a leadership role .
• Strong knowledge of cable and electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage complex, labor-intensive operations with full accountability.
• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required.
• Bi-cultural leadership skills to bridge U.S. business expectations and Mexican manufacturing culture.
• Authorized to work in Mexico and able to travel freely within the U.S.
• Strong communication, leadership, and continuous improvement skills.
