Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Estimator to create precise project estimates using conceptual, schematic, and construction-level documents. This role involves performing material take-offs, pricing equipment, and generating comprehensive estimates to support project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage estimates for assigned projects.
• Review vendor equipment submissions for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Price change orders submitted by project managers.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction leadership to finalize proposals.
• Conduct take-offs for piping, sheet metal, and other required materials.
• Assess project logistics and incorporate all necessary costs into estimates.
• Participate in jobsite walkthroughs for upcoming bids.
• Evaluate equipment and material proposals to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to support company goals.
• Represent the company in trade or business associations that advance its mission.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant trade experience.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVACR systems and supporting utilities.
• Proficiency in estimating with MEP software (Trimble preferred).
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of local and industry HVACR codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective negotiation and project costing abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and other relevant tools.
• Trade-specific expertise in areas such as pipefitting, ductwork, and mechanical systems.
