Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager will serve as the right hand to the General Manager, with a primary focus on elevating BIBA’s food & beverage program. This role blends operational oversight with a strong presence on the floor, ensuring that every dining room, bar, and event space operates at the highest level of service, precision, and atmosphere.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, balancing front-of-house operations, team mentorship, and member engagement, while upholding the exclusivity and refinement that define BIBA.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily F&B operations across restaurants, bars, lounges, and events.

  • Ensure flawless execution of service rituals, table-side standards, and member experiences.

  • Partner with the Executive Chef and Beverage Director to curate menus and service sequences aligned with BIBA’s cosmopolitan identity.

Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and inspire service staff to embody BIBA’s culture of refinement and discretion.

  • Mentor managers and captains to elevate leadership presence on the floor.

  • Conduct regular training on service etiquette, wine knowledge, and guest engagement.

Member & Guest Relations

  • Act as a visible host, building relationships with members and anticipating their preferences.

  • Handle discreetly any service recovery with poise and tact.

  • Maintain an environment of exclusivity and accessibility, ensuring members feel both at home and inspired.

Financial & Strategic Stewardship

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for F&B outlets.

  • Drive revenue growth through thoughtful programming and upselling, without compromising discretion or member experience.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years of progressive F&B leadership experience in luxury hospitality, private clubs, or fine dining.

  • Deep knowledge of wine, spirits, and contemporary dining trends.

  • Polished communication skills; comfortable engaging with high-net-worth and culturally influential members.

  • Strong organizational and financial acumen.

  • Ability to lead from the floor: visible, composed, and detail-obsessed.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
